Issue with object selection and layer identification (Paid Version)

Hello CAD Reader Support Team,

I am contacting you regarding an issue I am having with the software. I recently purchased the Paid Version.

I am trying to identify which layer specific objects (detectors) are located on, but I am facing the following problems:

  1. Selection Issue: My cursor appears as a large crosshair. When I click and drag, it creates a selection square, but it does not select the objects (detectors) inside it.
  2. Properties Panel: Because I cannot select the objects, the "Properties" panel remains empty (dropdown with no values), so I cannot see the layer information.
  3. Layer Management: I have about 300 layers in my file. I need to find the specific layer for these detectors, but I cannot identify it without selecting the object.

Resolving Layer Identification and Selection Issue

To identify and select a specific layer, you can use the “Open Select” feature in the Layer Management tool. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Layer Management Tool.
  2. Select the “Open Select” feature.
  3. Left-click on the entity you wish to identify.
  4. Right-click to confirm your selection.
  5. The selected layer will remain open.
  6. Return to the Layer List and check which layer has the bulb icon left open. This indicates the layer you have identified or selected

Please let me know if this explanation resolves your issue.
