How to Convert Millimeters to Meters in CAD Reader?

1. Open the Drawing

Launch your drawing file using the CAD Reader app.

2. Measure Existing Dimensions

Use the Linear Measurement Tool to check the current units displayed in the drawing.

3. Identify Reference Points

Select two points with a known real-world distance to verify the accuracy of the current scale.

4. Adjust the Scale

If the measurement result appears in millimeters and you need it in meters, use the Scale Function under the measurement tools.

5. Set the Correct Scale

In the scale input box, enter the true length between the selected points in meters.

• For example, if the tool shows 567 mm, and the actual length is 0.567 m, type 0.567 m into the scale box.
• This will recalibrate the drawing so all future measurements are displayed in meters.

6. Begin Measuring

Once the scale is set, you can extract dimensions from the drawing in meters.
