How to Convert Meters to Millimeters in CAD Reader?
1. Open the Drawing
Launch your drawing file in the CAD Reader app.
2. Verify Existing Dimensions
Use the Linear Measurement Tool to check the current dimensions displayed in the drawing.
3. Select Reference Points
Choose two points on the drawing with a known real-world distance. This helps confirm whether the current measurements are accurate.
4. Check Units and Scale
If the measurement result is shown in meters or differs from the expected length, use the Scale Function under the measurement tools to adjust the scale.
5. Set the Correct Scale
In the pop-up dialog, enter the actual distance between the two selected points.
- For example, if the tool shows 0.567 m, and the true length is 567 mm, type 567 mm into the scale box.
- This will recalibrate the drawing so all subsequent measurements are displayed in millimeters.
6. Extract Accurate Dimensions
Once the scale is set, you can begin measuring and extracting dimensions in millimeters throughout the drawing.
Note: The measurement unit will align with the drawing scale. For example, dimensions in millimeters (mm) will yield results in square millimeters (mm²).
