How do I draw perfectly straight lines in PlanForm?
Hello, how do I draw a perfect straight line in PlanForm when using the Length tool or Scale tool?
In almost every other application, you simply hold the Shift key while drawing the line.
This is true in PDF X-Change Editor, Microsoft Visio, and many other applications.
The 'snap' feature should also continue to function while holding the Shift key to draw a straight line.
Please check this behavior in PDF X-Change Editor, as it works very well in this program.

I tried simply clicking the Shift key once as you described (instead of holding shift) but this doesn't seem to do anything for me?

To better understand your request, could you kindly specify which part of the drawing you wish to measure using orthogonal mode while applying the linear or continuous measurement tools? Currently, orthogonal mode is only supported for drawing lines, not for measurement functions.

In PlanForm, we do support an orthogonal straight-line mode similar to what you described. However, the behavior is slightly different:
Instead of holding down the Shift key, you simply click the Shift key once to activate or deactivate orthogonal mode. Once activated, your lines will snap to perfect horizontal or vertical angles while using tools like Length or Scale.
The Snap feature will continue to function as expected while orthogonal mode is active.
