How to Save, Export, and Share Annotated CAD Drawings with Colleagues Using CAD Reader?
As a construction site supervisor, engineer, or construction personnel, you can easily annotate, comment, and markup CAD drawings using the CAD Reader application. Sharing your marked-up drawings with colleagues is seamless and efficient, helping improve communication and workflow.

🔧 Exporting Annotated CAD Drawings (with Comments)
- Complete your annotations, markups, and comments on the CAD drawing.
- Click the ‘Open’ button in the top-left corner of the toolbar.
- Select the ‘Export’ option from the drop-down menu.
- In the pop-up window, click the ‘…’ button to choose a location.
- Rename your file and choose a save location.
- Click ‘Export’ to finalize.
- The annotated drawing will be saved in .CRP format (Colossal Raw Package).
- This file can be viewed using CAD Reader on any supported device.

💻 Importing Annotated Drawings (.CRP) on Windows/macOS
- Ensure CAD Reader is installed (via official website, Play Store, App Store, or Microsoft Store).
- Launch CAD Reader.
- Click ‘Open’ at the top-left toolbar.
- Select ‘Import’ from the drop-down menu.
- In the pop-up window, click the ‘…’ button.
- Locate and select the saved .CRP file.
- Click ‘Next’, then ‘Import’ to view the drawing with comments.
- For better visibility, especially when the drawing is colorful:
· Navigate to the ‘VIP’ tab in the toolbar.
· Select ‘Show Drawing in Grey’ to make comments stand out clearly. (Note: VIP membership required)

📱 Importing Annotated Drawings (.CRP) on Android/iOS
- Install CAD Reader from the Android Play Store, App Store, or official website.
- Locate the .CRP file shared via WhatsApp or other messaging apps.
- Tap the file and confirm the import when prompted.
- The drawing with comments will open automatically in the CAD Reader app.
- To improve comment visibility:
· Enable Black & White display mode on the setting to highlight comments more clearly, especially on colorful drawings.
