How to count the number of object on a drawing within second?

Whether you're a Quantity Surveyor, Engineer, or Site Supervisor, manually counting pile points or any other object on a drawing can be time consuming and visually exhausting. With the ‘Identify Shape’ tool in the CAD Reader app, you can streamline this process and get accurate results in just seconds.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Launch your drawing using the CAD Reader app.
  2. Navigate to the toolbar and click on the ‘Identify Shape’ function.
  3. From the drop-down menu, choose ‘Identify Shape’.
  4. Use your cursor to draw a selection box around the shape (pile point) or any other object you want to count.
  5. Right click to confirm the selected shape.
  6. Assign a name to the identified shape for easy reference.
  7. If the selection includes redundant lines or points, reselect the shape carefully to ensure it is clean and accurate.
  8. By default, the app will count the shape across the entire drawing.
  9. To count shapes in a specific area, click ‘Select Area’ and draw a box around the desired region.
  10. Click on ‘Identify’ button and a pop-up window will display the total number of identified shape and their coordinates.
  11. Click on any result in the list to automatically highlight its location in the drawing.

With just a few clicks, you can now get an accurate pile point and object count and no more eye strain or manual errors.
