Step-by-Step Guide:

1.Open the Drawing

  • Launch your drawing using the CAD Reader app.

2.Access the Shape Tool

  • Navigate to the toolbar and click on the ‘Shape’ function.

3.Select Target Shape Tool

  • From the drop-down menu, choose ‘Identify Target Shape’.

4.Draw a Selection Box

  • Use your cursor to draw a selection box around the shape you want to count.

5.Confirm Selection

  • Right click to confirm the selected shape.

6.Name the Shape

  • Assign a name to the identified shape for easy reference.

7.Refine Your Selection (if needed)

  • If the selection includes redundant lines or points, reselect the shape carefully to ensure it is clean and accurate.

8.Choose the Search Region

  • By default, the app will count the shape across the entire drawing.
  • To count shapes in a specific area, click ‘Select Area’ and draw a box around the desired region.

9.View the Results

A pop-up window will display:

  • The total number of identified shapes
  • Their coordinates in the selected area

10.Locate Each Shape

  • Click on any result in the list to automatically highlight its location in the drawing.
