How can I transfer my measurement results from an old revision file to a new revision drawing without having to remeasure everything?

As Quantity Surveyors, we frequently encounter revised drawings with only minor dimensional changes, yet traditionally, this requires remeasuring the entire plan. To eliminate this inefficiency, we’ve developed a simple method to transfer existing measurements from your previous working file and precisely reposition them onto the new revision drawing, ensuring consistency and saving valuable time.

Steps:

1. Ensure you have the latest version of PlanForm software (v4.4.0.51) installed or newer.
2. Launch both your original working file with completed measurements and new revision drawing file.
3. In your original working file with completed measurements, locate and click the "Comment List " button at the bottom-left corner
4. Select any measurement in the list,
5. Press Ctrl+A to highlight all measurements
6. Press Ctrl+C to copy the selected measurements
7. Go to new drawing, Press Ctrl+Shift+V to paste measurements while maintaining their original positions
8. This process preserves measurement accuracy while eliminating the need for manual remeasuring.
