How to cut out or subtract an area from an existing Area measurement?
The cut-out area measurement is commonly used for slabs with openings, and walls with doors or windows. This function allows for more precise budgeting and helps avoid material waste or shortages.
Steps:
1. Download the Latest Version
Ensure you have the latest version of PlanForm software (v4.4.0.51) installed.
2. Scale the Drawing
Always scale your drawing before starting any measurement to ensure accuracy.
3. Measure the Main Area
Left clicks on the highlighted (measured) area to complete the measurement.
4. Access the Cut-Out Tool
Move your cursor to the toolbar that appears on the selected area. Click on the "Cut Out" tool to define the cut-out section.
5. Modify or Remove Cut-Outs
Cutouts can be removed and the result can be modify by adding control point as needed for design changes or revisions.
6. Duplicate Measurement to Revised Drawing
Use Ctrl + Shift + V to duplicate the completed area measurement into a revised drawing at the exact same location, eliminating the need to remeasure.
