How to open CAD drawing on iOS device?

There are three simple and convenient ways to transfer drawings from a computer to a phone and launch with CAD Reader.

Open drawing from WhatsApp chat:

1.      To install CAD Reader on iOS mobile device please click on the link below: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cad-reader-view-measure-dwg/id878550740

2.      CAD Reader supports various file formats, including dwg, dxf, pdf, zip, and rar. If you receive a CAD drawing file in WhatsApp, click on the file then select the ‘Send to’ icon at the bottom left of your screen.

3.      Select more and click on CAD Reader. The drawing will display using CAD Reader app.

Open drawing from Messenger chat:

2.      CAD Reader supports various file formats, including dwg, dxf, pdf, zip, and rar. If you receive a CAD drawing file in Messenger, click on ‘Download’ button at the pop-up window and the CAD file will be download into the iOS ‘Files’ folder.

3.      Tap on the ‘Downloads’ symbol at the bottom left of the URLs search tab.

4.      Select ‘Downloads’ at the options and click on the CAD file required to open.

5.      Then select the ‘Send to’ icon at the bottom left of your screen.

6.      Select more and click on CAD Reader. The drawing will display using CAD Reader app.

2.      Transfer CAD file from laptop to iOS Files folder

3.      Open Files and select ‘On My iPhone’

1.      Tap on the CAD file then select the ‘Send to’ icon at the bottom left of your screen.

2.      Select more and click on CAD Reader. The drawing will display using CAD Reader app.
