Why Can't I Open My Drawings Directly?

For Android 11 and above, Google Play has not updated the All File Access Permission, which meansCAD Readercannot directly access your local drawings. But don’t worry—it’s easy to work around this!

Fix Using File Manager

1️⃣Go to Your Phone's Files Folder

Open the file manager on your phone.

2️⃣Locate Your Drawings

Find the file you need (look forDWGorPDFformats).

3️⃣Open with CAD Reader

Tap the drawing, selectOpen with, and chooseCAD Reader.

Fix Using WhatsApp

1️⃣Download the File

When someone sends you a drawing (DWG or PDF) in WhatsApp, tap the file to download it.

2️⃣Open with CAD Reader

After downloading, tap the file again and selectCAD Readerfrom the list of apps.

The drawing will open in CAD Reader for easy viewing.
